Data Governance Definition
Data governance is an organization's set of instructions (a data governance framework) to deliver high-quality data, accessibility, security, and transparency into organizational data sources.
Data governance means these policies, principles, and structures within an organization serve as "laws" for how the data should be managed within the organization. It applies specifically to data consumers (both human and machine) because they are the primary beneficiaries of successful data governance.
